The menu is a celebration of Mexican classics that cater to diverse tastes: from the robust, spicy El Macho Bravo Burrito to lighter options like the Maiz y Queso Quesadilla served with creamy guacamole, crisp lettuce, and zesty pico de gallo. Vegetarians will delight in the flavorful Veggie Quesadilla, packed with mushrooms, spinach, onions, and tomatoes, all complemented by a luscious layer of melted cheese and a side of cooling sour cream.

Not to be missed is the hearty Caldo de Res, a traditional beef soup that radiates warmth and satisfaction, perfect for those seeking a comforting meal after a busy day. Veracruz’s attention to detail is clear in every dish, enhanced by their house favorite, Valentina Hot Sauce, which adds an inviting kick that elevates the tacos and burritos to new levels of deliciousness.

Amazing staff that guided my hunger to the promised land. My friend find this gem on our road trip across the country and what a true delight. Coming from Los Angeles we didn't expect such great standards. It was rather pricey but very with it nonetheless as the quality was superior to our local fares. Prepare to take off!!

Nice hole-in-the-wall local Mexican restaurant in Bloomington area. Steady stream of people coming to eat there or pick-up their orders. Pretty good amount of space to eat inside and out. I ordered the large steak burrito. Their steak burrito tasted great. Very enjoyable dining experience while in town on business. Enjoy! Tip: You have to order and pay for your food first and then sit down if you are dining in. They will then bring it to you. Note: Not sure if they offered chips and salsa. I saw people eating it, but I was not offered any. You may have to pay to get chips and salsa, but not sure because I was not offered any when I sat down to eat.

Man oh man their tacos are always super hot and fresh! My first visit I tried a variety of tacos, but el pastor is my favorite. The mild sauce has a nice warm kick to complete the perfect taco. I have learned to call ahead if I am not eating at the restaurant since everything is made fresh it takes about 10 minutes, still very quick but they can be busy at times.

I wish we could rate this place a 100/5 stars! We love Veracruz!! The most authentic Mexican food you’ll find in central IL. Great prices and even better food. We love their tacos and burrito. Chips and salsa are good too!

I have never had higher quality food, or more authentic to its roots. The staff is ALWAYS nice. It may not look like anything special from the outside, but man their food feels like a warm embrace. Its just great.

TOP NOTCH food and service! Very friendly, quick service, and a the food is absolutely delicious! Generous portions and great prices as well! This was my first time here and I wasn’t super hungry but I got a taco, rice and beans. Also tried the chips, queso and salsa. All delicious. And they have Mexican coke bottles! Not a huge restaurant but still seating and tables for 30~or so people. Can’t wait to come back and try more items on the menu. The Carne Asada is AMAZING.
